by Kate Quinn
A glorious romp through 1950’s McCarthy era DC with a beautiful and flawed cast of characters. You can tell how much care, effort, and research Quinn puts into each one of her books. Fantastic

by Elle Kennedy
I feel that many other books do this general concept better. I enjoyed myself while reading but the writing was cringey and inconsistent as were the characters and world building. No research went into this book, but it was fun and silly nonetheless.

by Rachel Gillig
Beautiful and Heartbreaking. A story of love and duty and dreams and hate, and valor, and friendship, and drowning. Gillig is a fantastic author. I fell in love with her characters and their stories and the whole thing was smooth and effortlessly enrapturing.
-
by Julia Quinn and Shonda Rhimes
I just love this story and these characters so much from the show and the book kept most of the dialogue and plot intact which I adored.
-
by Rachel Reid
It is so wonderful to read about queer relationships and to follow a romance that has friendship and chemistry and real stakes to them being together.

I found the writing and specifically the dialogue in this book extremely believable, natural, funny, and witty. The story unfolded in such a grounded way that nothing felt cheap or unearned or silly in any way.
-
by Que Mai Phan Nguyen
It took me a while to get into the writing and rhythm of this book, which felt a bit choppy and clunky at times. But the story was brilliant and heartbreaking and inspiring and educational. It made me do my own research on the Vietnam War and gave me a perspective I had never considered before reading.

by Kristen Perrin
A clue packed mystery with a satisfying and surprise ending! I specifically loved how the women in this book weren’t written as morons and were intelligent and cool and could stand on their own.
-
by B.K. Borison
I did not connect with this story, even though I really enjoyed the first quarter of the book. It got too cerebral and tedious after that and I felt that there were no stakes in the romance between two people who liked each other but for some reason convinced themselves that they couldn’t be together. I did like the characters themselves though which was a positive.

I do not enjoy this play nor do I think anyone should read it, perform it, or go see it. Not the story we need right now.
-
by Jandy Nelson
Jandy Nelson has to be one of the most unique and talented authors of our generation. She writes pure whimsical magic and you feel it sparkle and seep through on every single page, while still creating fully realized characters and deeply moving and grounded stories. I loved every minute of this book.

by Rachel Reid
I really enjoy Reid’s writing and her universe she’s created.

Personally, this trope and these characters were my favorite of the series so far. I found this book to be extremely sexy and compelling and real.
